If the hoopla around the exciting new diesel technologies coming from Honda, VW, and MB still gives you a yawn, then you are likely one of those people who always has to be the first on the block to have the latest and greatest.
Looking at the longer term, to hydrogen fuel cell technology are BMW, GM, and again Honda. All three companies have recently announced that they will offer actual working fuel cell models as early as next year (in the case of BMW).
So if you consider gasoline and even the "clean diesel" to be so last year, than maybe this will float your boat, or maybe better, get your wheels turning. Yes, the prices are pegged to be initially exorbitant ($1 million for the Honda FCX, the BMW 7 Series with Hydrogen will be available as a lease) but being first comes with a cost.
Remember what you paid for that first copier-sized Beta VCR when it first came out?
