The Consumerist strikes back

Well, we are all saddened by the news of Luciano Pavaratti's passing, but as the famous tenor himself would have said, the show must go on, or more accurately,"l'esposizione deve accendere." And I am not going to pay him any disrepect by trying to somehow link his life and death to the auto industry or service specifically for that matter, though with his hometown being Modena, Italy, you probably could.

Anyway, three cheers for Luciano, you and your voice will be missed.

In other news, the shopping public's advocacy site the Consumerist has recently added a new post citing the 13 best steps for purchasing an automobile. They have certainly sounded off on this topic on many occasions before, but this latest entry seems to wittle things down and cut to the chase quite quickly.

Of course, crafty salepeople will still be able to see through several of the steps, though there always seems to be another tip at the ready if they do. Be sure to see the other related links and by all means take a few minutes to peruse the comments, which are always the most interesting (and usually most useful) part of any of these posts.

More service news on the way.
